Being a Realtor

I've been running the same restaurants off and on for about 18 years now. Sometimes I will be in one area and others I will be elsewhere but it's all int he same 30 miles area and I feed pretty much the same people every day. A couple of the folks that are regulars that I know are into real estate and I get nice little tidbits of information from them that comes in handy.

One of them is also a friend of mine and a few years back he and one of our district managers went to school together to learn how to sell real estate. The first year that my friend was selling he made over $40k which isn't super but for the first year in I thought it was pretty darned good. He didn't do it very long. Apparently it takes a lot of hard work to be a successful realtor. I know I couldn't do it. Even with the hours that I work I think that doing something like that would just be too much for me.
