I Hate Bills :)
I have been really bad this past year about tracking our spending and balancing my checkbook. I used to be very meticulous, almost anal about it, recording every single expenditure that we had. I am still like that with work but here at home I have had almost a laissez-faire attitude about it and I am not sure why. It's not that I am bouncing checks or anything but several important things have gone unpaid. I just finished dealing with one creditor over the phone a few minutes ago that I should have taken care of months ago. It was for a hospital bill for my wife. I don't know if I never received it or just lost it but they wanted their money and I don't blame them. When I provide someone with a service I expect to be paid for it, and on time, so I went ahead and forked over the $300 and told them to have a nice day.
I normally use Quicken and actually just got the upgrade in the mail the other day. I guess maybe I need to take a look at my schedule and 'budget' in a little time for bill tracking during the day. The lack of time has been my biggest downfall and I really need to focus on a better schedule for myself.
