Real Estate in San Diego
My aunt lived in San Diego for several years and I even had the opportunity to fly out there with my mom to visit once. While most of the memories that I have of the place come from a child's perspective, I still remember how idyllic it was and how much I enjoyed it. Southern California is one of the most beautiful areas of the country and the homes in the area reflect that beauty.
One of the really nice things about the area is that even though we are in the midst of the mortgage scare that I posted video on earlier, the San Diego area is still appreciating in value over the rest of the market. San Diego Real Estate and Loans has valuable information on it's site about the local real estate market. Right now a piece of the Pacific Beach real estate is looking attractive since it's starting to get somewhat cold here. The weather is nice year round, and for locals and tourists alike there are plenty of things to do, with the three mile boardwalk. The area is one of the main centers of nightlife in San Diego and places such as the Cabo Cantina and Moondoggies are very popular.
Just to the north of Pacific Beach is the La Jolla area. La Jolla real estate is also doing very well right now. La Jolla is a much more family oriented area if you are looking for a house to raise a family, and it is a nice upscale area that you can feel safe to live in. La Jolla is also fairly close to Chinatown and there are many shops, art galleries and fine restaurants in the area as well.
Although the area is still going through the real estate bubble, there are still plenty of opportunities to purchase since even in the areas that are doing well we are still seeing record foreclosures. Although I hate to make money at the expense of someone else, a San Diego foreclosure is one sure way to buy a home and save money.
