I was writing a little while ago about Term Life insurance and how we need to have it but something I didn't touch on is health insurance. Health insurance is the bane of my existence this week. Ours is up in a couple of weeks and I need to pick a new provider. It is just too expensive. Sometimes I think that it would be less expensive to just stick the money in a medical savings account and pay it from there but then there are years such as 1997 when my daughter spent 40 days in the ICU at Scottish Rite hospital. My total bill with doctors, hospital, medicine, take-home equipment and specialists was just over half a million dollars. When I think about that I shut up and sign on the dotted line.

If you don't have affordable insurance available from your job what do you do? There are several different options and quite a few of them are available on the Internet, my favorite since I am such a social butterfly. With WebHealthPolicy you can go online and fill out a simple form to determine of you are eligible and get back up to five quotes very quickly. It might surprise you how many providers are out there that are willing to provide you with affordable health insurance coverage for you and your family.

I am pretty lucky in that the wife and I have got life insurance for us and the kids through the state since she is a teacher. It's also available to me at work should I so choose to use it. Some people aren't quite so lucky and life insurance can be expensive, difficult to get if you have any medical issues, and have so many stipulations that it's not even worth it. There are term life companies that are pretty good though. eLifePolicy is provided by HSBC North American Holdings which is one of the top 10 financial services companies in the United States and they offer life insurance policies in the United States as well as Canada.

The eLifePolicy is pretty easy to sign up for and get. Just go the to the web site, and go through their three step process from your home (or work). You never have to speak with an agent trying to upsell you on things you don't want or need and you don't have to take any kind of medical exam. Obviously you want to be truthful when filling out the questionnaires because should you die and you lied about your health they might not have to pay. You can find out within minutes if you are qualified for the policy and you can print it out right there from your computer.

One of the best ways to judge different insurance companies is by their rating from A.M. Best Company and HSBC Insurance subsidiaries have been rated A+, which is great and means that they offer a good product as well as good service to back it up.
